Enjoy the beauty and wildlife of the Blue Ridge
Mountains of Virginia. Right on the New
River Trail State Park along the second oldest river in the
world and one of the few flowing north, Cliffview Trading Post
offers everything you need for a relaxing recreational guided
horseback ride on the New River Trail (all equipment furnished
including horses).
Open for more than 14 years Cliffview Trading Post
offers 1 or 2 hour guided horseback rides and bike rentals on
the trail. Also we offer camping and stable rental for your horses.
We provide guided trail rides for the general public. The rider
does not need to have any previous riding experience to participate
in these activities. We have rides for everyone including families
with small children, and we specialize in offering horses for
all ages and levels of riding experience.
Directions: Take State Route 58
to Galax. Go north on SR 887 to Cliffview Road (SR 721). Take
SR 721 one-quarter of a mile and turn right onto Creekview Road.
Go one mile to the Dannelly Complex. Cliffview Campground parking
is on the right. Cross the footbridge into the campground.
